let 'em sell out, who cares, they were fucking badass, they can do what they want. yeah i'd dislike them if they never put out an album that caters to their initial fanbase, but they're still alive n' kickin - and until they retire, there is still hope

they know how nearly everyone feels, that's why on tour they do a shitload of oldschool songs, cause that's what people wanna hear.

they'd be ignorant not to, i really think they will. but who knows
They aren't going to be cool again, because what made them cool in the first place was their attitude. Now their attitudes are of complete detachment from their fans, they even come across as detesting and looking down upon their fans. What made them cool was that they thought they were peers, they felt honored to play for so many people and took the time to meet people, take pictures and tell them "thankyou for coming". Now, only a select few will meet them and every time I seen them in front of a camera, their attitudes are completely different, as if their fans are being honored by their presence instead of the other way around.

They're not going to change, because they now say things like: "we sell out every show, every seat, every time." - Lars Ulrich. This makes it crystal fucking clear that they're in it for the money, period. Fuck Metallica, they're dead and gone, and they're not coming back. I'll pirate all their old shit, because they're certainly not getting a single penny from me ever again. If someone gave me a pair of Metallica tickets, I'd take them only for the chance to sell them and make a couple of bucks.
