sorry to resurrect this thread....but my wisdom are starting to ache, and I know I have to make an appointment with the dentist to have them removed soon, before it gets any worse...
My question is this....should I just get the general shot (to numb me) while I have the procedure done, or go under FULL anasthesia (go to sleep like in a major operation) while I have this done? I admit that I'm a big wimp, and I'm scared shitless of the dentist. I don't know if I can stand being awake and fully conscious of the dentist cutting open my gums and sewing me up
I know that you can ask to be put to sleep if that's what you want.
So did you guys just get a shot to numb yourselfs while getting your wisdom teeth removed, or did you go to sleep?
