I feel your pain
I spent the winter of '79 in Great Lakes, IL right by the water. The extended below zero temps, snow and relentless wind made me vow to myself to never subject myelf to such again and so far I've done a pretty good job
It's currently 49 here, says the low is going to be 42 but it's just now getting dark so I think it's going to go a few lower... it got down to 38 night before last.
