I was fine with that, people are allowed to protest - it wasn't till I heard why they were protesting that I became ashamed to be a Canadian.....they're protesting Bush coming to Canada - get this - to ask for permission for Bush's 'missile defense system' to deflect nuclear weapons to Canada (instead of the US).

Christ - why are people like this allowed to continue to live?
Exactly who does the US think is going to fire missiles at them anyway? The Cuban missile crisis ended a long time ago ... Russia's missiles never worked, Saddam never had anything that could get out of his backyard and North Korea's missiles are more likely aimed at Japan ...

Please someone in America get a grip .. your obsession with military might in today's world is as outdated as your concept of democracy.

All those thousands of soldiers, planes, missiles, etc etc didn't help prevent 9/11 and in Iraq your soldiers are being targeted by home-made bombs every day. Billions of dollars every year are spent keeping your military big, strong and proud and as we've seen in Iraq you need to use it every few years to justify it's existance.

Missile defence? My god, please tell me there aren't about 10,000 better ways to spend a few billion dollars? Health care, education, medical research, improving the slums in all your major cities, homelessness ...

So yeah, I can see why people are protesting Mr. Bush up here. He can keep his country's obsession with guns n' toys where it belongs: back home.
