I used to live in Syracuse, NY in the early 90's (used to own a couple of Dunkin Donuts in town) and couldn't believe my eyes when I read in the paper that the Hip were going to be playing at a crappy little bar in town the following week. It was wierd in that the night before they were playing to a sold out show of 20,000 a couple of hours away in Ottawa and here they were with maybe 200 people at a bar in the States.
