Luke gives 42 generations between Jesus and David while Matthew gives 27 generations. Please also note that each author names different men as Joseph's father. Also, please note that Luke completely forgets about Solomon, supposedly the wisest and most wealthy king to ever live.

Joseph was not Jesus' father, God was. Mary was a virgin, so Joseph couldn't have been Jesus' father. Therefore this genealogy is meaningless.

The genealogy is also made meaningless, because jews count heriditary through the mother. Where's Mary's genealogy?
