GFY is a communication medium, nothing more, nothing less. This is where her friends and colleagues dwell, it matters not if there's a immaturity and/or stupidity issue with some of its users. She is communicating with people she knows and people who are interested in what she has to say. Whether its GFY or a more "serious" forum, communication is communication. And I know how much emotional support is needed at a time like this. I buried my aunt this year and if you don't vent, you will surely implode.
