Here's an inside scoop on the Olive Garden. You see those left over breadsticks on your table? Even the half eaten ones? Well that's what they use to make their meatballs with! We had 2 dumping areas by the dishwasher...one was for the food and the other was for the bread. I saw one guy almost get fired because he refused to dump the leftover bread into the appropriate bin. Here's the kicker. The dishwasher's job before he took out the trash was to sort through the refuse and pick out all the bread that accidently made it into the food bin. !

Yep, I worked in "nice"restaurants when I was in college and they made us save all kinds of things. And what do you think they do when the chef drops your steak on the floor? Throw it away? No, they just throw it back on the grill.
