I'm sure he or she has already figured out that they made a bad business decision therefore I would probably mention something about it but not offer any advice. If they make another bad decision in the near future then yes, step in and discuss it with them. Get me once shame on you, get me twice shame on me.
However, that is completely opposite of what I would want done to me in that same situation. I would want my friends to confront me about the decision and offer any advice they desire. If I made a bad decision then I would want any and all input I could get. I don't take things like that personal and feel that it only benefits me.
