Most are free sites...for the front page at least, and some even get you to register with a credit card although you will never be billed. However once passed the registretion, and front page, any content you want to view tells you that you wil be billed.
They are a great idea, coz they collect tons of email addresses, and personal info that they can sell, or use themsleves to mail.
