TORONTO (CP) -- It's fairly common knowledge that a savvy web surfer can find out almost anything about anyone online, especially who's behind a website.
Now, thanks to new Canadian privacy legislation, hunting down the owners of a dot-ca website could become trickier.
The body that governs the dot-ca tag, the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, wants to change a key practice in order to shield the identities of domain owners.
