You can look at AVS from two different perspectives --
1. Sell the avs memberships and collect your check from the avs itself.
2. Upsell from inside the avs site and get paid by sponsors or use the traffic to your own paysites.
Two completely different site designs here for this, two totally separate marketing types as well.
IF you can get the hang of it, you can do well with both varieties, and even use the #1 type site to send the #2 site traffic, which in turn makes you money on both sides of the coin
