I am writing you to inform you of the extremely negative shopping experience that I had at the following location:

1220 3rd St. Promenade.
Santa Monica, CA 90401
Phone: 310.587.3525

I was in town for a business convention (I work in the adult industry) I had chosen to stay an extra day so I could visit a few very specific stores (Including Von Dutch) that cater to my fashion needs and maybe pick up some impulse buys. One of your sales reps (not sure of her name, dark skinned shoulder length hair, evening shift) was on the phone with her manager, talking about the store.

I went up to the counter to purchase a shirt with my credit card and ID in hand, ready to get back out on the promenade and shop more. Your sales rep was talking on the phone and ignoring me, At the point where I felt I was being ignored I said "Mam could you please tell whoever you are on the phone with that you have a customer to take care of?" She completely ignored me and did a side step and rolled her eyes..

At this point I became extremely upset with the fact that she could not show some common courtesy and look me in the eye and tell me that she would be right with me. She dilly dallied around more on the phone and started to move to my shirt I wanted and grabbed it to start folding it, meanwhile still not acknowledging me. I grabbed my credit card and id and said "Screw it I don't want the shirt now" I started walking off and she said "I'm on the phone with my store manager" which was extremely laughable..

If anyone should understand the importance of sales and customer satisfaction it is a manager. I highly doubt she told her manager what had just happened.. I overheard her saying that the store had only done $5300, maybe that is because of her poor sales effort and attitude..

I went across the way to Lucky and got a new shirt that I liked. I was still steamed about the whole thing I asked a female sales rep at Lucky what she thought about the whole thing, and she agreed it was very rude and appologized to me for my bad experience in the Promenade.

I really hope that you right this situation somehow, I hope this sales rep is somehow repremanded for her actions. She left me with a bad taste in my mouth for the Von Dutch label.
