OK, here are a couple of other responses:
This one from a marine who's there now:
"There's plenty of porn floating around...no need to send it to anybody. It's easy enough to get your hands (and everything else) on."
From someone who sends things quite frequently:
"Nobody that we've been sending stuff to in Iraq has indicated that porn is allowed. I think everyone is too busy to think about it.
Afghanistan is a different animal so far. We are being told that if some unmarked DVDs should just happen to make it into some packing boxes that there would be no complaints. Pictures, stories, magazines are still a no-no."
