Please, the whole run-up to the war was based on lies and faulty intelligence, it was a made for TV war to get the public support behind it. Throw in a little mention of Al Qaeda every now and again and WMD's you can get the masses to believe anything these days.

I mean hell the screwed up so bad they had to keep inventing reasons why they invaded iraq:
The MAIN reason for war was WMD's....none
Secondary reason for war Al-Qaeda......none (before the war)
Third reason to spread freedom like fairy dust.....complete bullshit

If this whole thing was about oil I wouldn't even mind, if Bush said "We have to invade Iraq because we have reached the worlds peak oil suppy. We need to rape and pillage Iraq to get our black gold so we can fight future wars with China, Iran, North Korea."

I'd be fine with that if it was the truth.....problem is nobody knows why we REALLY went to war. Hell we don't even know what "victory" in Iraq means, there is simply no way for the US to "win"
