From the thread title I thought you were asking a different question. As in, do you let other peoples negative reactions to your ideas and plans deter you from achieving your goals.

So I'll answer that question instead, haha. No. I love when people tell me "no, you can't do that, you're not being realistic." Makes me want to do it even more.

I remember in high school sitting in a board room with a bunch of teachers and counselors. They wanted me to enroll in a bunch of computer science classes and become a programmer. They said I couldn't move to California, it would never work.
