God damn it.
Just what the hell is it about the internet that makes so called grown adults feel the need to start acting like petulant little shits on open forums?
It's the same with usenet. So many people trying to make themselves look big and clever all the time.
Here's a little bit of advice.. There's a special requirement to actually look intelligent, professional, and "cool".
You have to actually BE them.

The truth is, that all these "adults" that come to these forums, or usenet, or whatever, and either start talking trash, or acting like a "player", are the same people that got beat up for their lunch money at school earlier this year.

"Payrollpete", you say, "they are not people to be on bad terms with, there just isn't any point."
I say that there's even less of a point purposely coming onto a public forum and goading people for no reason other than to make yourself look "cool".
It reminds me of all the sad cases out on the street that feel the need to be a part of a "gang".. people that don't really know how to fit in with society.

On top of that, as a businessman myself in many areas on, and away from the internet, the last person I want to be associated with, is one that acts like an ass just for the sake of it.
People that do not know how to conduct theirselves in a professional manner in a public forum, are simply not worth the time of anyone important.
That said, if those people are ALREADY associated with anyone important, I can assure you that they aren't going to be praised for this type of behaviour.

What I see more and more on the internet these days, are grown ups acting more like children than children do themselves.
If that's the image you all want portrayed for yourselves and your companies, then so be it.
But don't expect to be taken seriously, and don't assume that anyone really cares about your little "clique".
It doesn't make you important.
