running up in the stands = questionable, but still a FORM of self-defense, since "assault" by law can be something thrown and smacking you in the face
punching the guys who ran up to artest ON the court after the incident in the stands was over = clearly self defense, the individuals running up to Artest while he was ON THE COURT could only have the motive to do harm to the players or the situation, and if they had a weapon or knife, we'd all be singing a different tune...but the thing is, how in the FUCK is Ron Artest to know he DOESNT have a weapon?!? Thats self-defense friends.
