Chernobyl and economic meltdown in the Ukraine are causing early deaths, poverty and depression. As always, children are the innocent victims. Many of Ukraine's children are suffering greatly from disease and malnutrition brought on by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster and poverty. Ukraine now has over 48,000 orphaned or abandoned children, many of whom resort to drugs and glue sniffing to assuage their hunger.
