Fuck street thugs.
Those 5 may have not been guilty of that particular crime - but make NO doubt about it - they are very guilty (by their own admission) of many other violent acts and behind bars is where they belong.
I don't give a damn if they're white, black, pink, yellow or purple.
If I had my way and a street thug was guilty of a crime that included violence - they'd wake up every morning to an ass-whipping, work all day, eat dinner and get a punch in the face for dessert... every day until their sentence was over.
Sexual crimes against women would allow for the parents/husband/brother/volunteer/neighbor/friend of a friend of a friend/ of the victim to be allowed 2 hours alone with the offender shackeled to a chair with full immunity from prosecution for anything that happens during those 2 hours.
Sex crimes against children just get shot - fuck rehabilitating them.
It would be "guilty by reason of insanity" if it were left up to me as well.....
It's gotten real old with the "society never gave them a chance" cries and put your race card back in your pocket - those boys were no angels - they were serving time for the wrong crime - but criminals none the less.
There are certainly times when an innocent person of color is wrongfully accused of a crime - that's when you whip out the race card.
