You do whatever it is you need to do to protect your daughter. Personally, I would of given that bitch a major beat down for slapping my daughter's hand and yelling at her for throwing food. People can mess with me all that want, but they'd better stay the fuck away from my kids.
Do what's best for you and your daughter. Fuck everyone else and their needs or feelings. Protect your daughter, think with the head above your shoulders, cowboy up and do what's best for Isabella. Doesn't matter if you're Bipolar or not...you can still be a stable parent. Be the mature one in this situation and do what's best for the baby.
