The Qu'ran is not a book of peace. It is basically a power manifesto of a 7th century Arab warlord. You should try reading it yourself instead of just pretending that you have.
I'm surprised that you have not heard of a Muslim "crusade". The Muslims invaded Europe, Africa and Asia. In India alone they killed between 80 and 200 million (yes, million) Hindus over the course of their conquest. The Muslims supplied the black slaves to the Western slave trade and also took many millions more for themselves. How odd though, that even though many black slaves were freed in the West and given their own countries, you will not find many black people throughout modern Muslim non-African lands. This is because they killed their slaves when they had finished with them. Arab Muslims have traditionally hated black people. Muhammad refered to them as "raisin heads".
As for them not shoving their religion down people's throats, they prefer to cut the throat if the person refuses to convert.
Allah promised the Muslims that the whole world was theirs to take, and their current goals are very much in line with that.
I'm sure you're a nice person, but you are exceptionally naive. As a woman you should be very affraid of what the Islamists have in store for you. Under Islamic law, a Muslim man is allowed to keep and rape a non-Muslim woman for as long as and whenever he sees fit. That woman must be captured in war, but the Muslim definition of war is basically that they are allowed to fight against any group of people who do not share their faith.
The Muslim name for their lands is "Dar ul Islam" (Land of Islam) whereas their name for the non-Muslim countries is "Dar ul Harb" (Land of War).
