Depends on where you are and what your needs are. Do you want to be the one who teaches someone, has them learn on your time and make their mistakes on your time ??

At the beginning, usually this is the cheapest way for new companies to acquire talent cheaply, who could turn out nicely and be loyal to them.

For established companies, you usually are past that stage though and need people who can do the job
