I have a team of developers in Belarus, which had more fallout than any other country. One of my developers got sick with Thyroid Cancer recently. Thyroid cancer is one of the most common ailments from fallout.
I was actually reading more about Chernobyl a few weeks ago, and how it is now. It really is a travesty, and the things that happened to lead up to it show just how bad it is.
