Same fucking thing happened to me! I sent 4 emails to my merchant account IPS saying to cancel my account (this all before, during, AND after it was even setup) and they finally replied back a week later saying they needed a signed, dated, FAXED letter in order to legally cancel it.
It costed a buck so no big deal but it's still retarted. Why is that any more legitimate than an e-mail or a telephone call?
