Just looked back and 20,000 is the estimated number released Oct. 23 for the number in Iraq with up to 10,000 in Fallujah. Lets go with the lower number in Fallujah. They say Fallujah is newarly reclaimed and they have killed 600 of them. Do any math you wish, 10,000-19,000 of them are regrouping somewhere. Wonder how long before the Iraqis revolt against destroying cities to get a few hundred at a time?

Well...the take down of Fullujah has only been in progress for a few days...and before the invasion began...it was reported by different media that 1-6 thousand were inside the city. Prior to the cordoning off of the city they may have reported up to ten thousand inside the city...but since it took time to cordon off the city some naturally snuck away... and in addition the people of the city were told to leave...and many did...so I would think there were some insurgents among that group. At this point in time no one knows how many may be left in the city...but it is my understanding that our forces are encircling the remaining insurgents and tightening the circle.
