but if there is someone around with webmaster lists - be very careful of their legitimacy - not too many agree to opt-in lists so you will be considered spamming and that quickly gets you a bad name in the industry.

I totally agree with you on all points here. I still have webmaster lists from companies that I have worked for.... and I would never compromise them by selling them.
