lol, this could have been a thread of mine ... I thought about renting an appartment there as well after I came back from Prague late august this year, but you need to go OUT to make friends and that is pretty hard as almost nobody speaks English there.
Get yourself a nice girlfriend, you won't be that lonely then;/
