I guess the answer to that is so simple, it's not poking you in the eye bluff.
At the end of the day, the net result is what counts.
Why bother developing it when someone else will pay you the same amount or more to rent it? Who wants to deal with processors and designs and conversion ratios and so on if they don't have to in order to make the same money?
I guess you also think the Hun is wrong to sell his ad spots instead of sending that traffic to sites he owns.
