This is a short civics lesson to those who failed to pay attention in hight school or for people on this board who are from other countries.

The correct term for our form of government is not "democracy"
The United States of America actually has a form of government known as a 'democratic REPUBLIC"

Our constitution does not give the citizens any rights. What is actually does is limit the right of the government to impose its will upon the people. The first amendment says "CONGRESS SHALL PAS NO LAW ABRIDGING THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH....

It does not say that THE PEOPLE have the right to free speech, it says the government cannot pass laws abridging that right.

The constitution is a set of laws for the government to follow, not the people.

THIS IS WHAT MAKES THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA THE GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH. THE GOVERNMENT IS LIMITED IN WHAT IT CAN DO BY THE PEOPLE(i.e, the constitution)

As for the moron asking what the u.s. has ever done for denmark?
About 60 years ago there was a little thing called world war 2. And if I'm not mistaken it was the u.s. that virtually saved the entire euroepean continent for the nazis. IF IT WASNT FOR THE U.S. EVERYONE IN EUROPE WOULD BE SPEAKING GERMAN RIGHT NOW.

And to all the u.s. haters out there i have only one simple question for you if you have either the guts or intelligence to answer....WHY DO SO MANY MILLIONS OF PEOPLE EVERY YEAR GIVE UP EVERYTHING THEY HAVE,MANY OF THEM RISKING THEIR LIVES AND THE LLIVES OF THEIR CHILDREN JUST TO HAVE THE CHANCE TO COME TO THIS NATION?
