Got a mailer about the size and weight of a Christmas card in the mail today. On the outside It shows is what I guess is supposed to be grandfather & granddaughter wearing baseball caps and "fan attire"... or perhaps he is supposed to be coaching her little league (can't tell, they're only shown from a bit above the waist up and the background is dark). Grandpa is holding a baseball out toward her, she's got one hand standing a bat and the other by her side looking down and grinning at the baseball. It's a real Stepford moment. The caption reads: You and your family really do have a stake in this election."
Inside on the left-hand side there's a list of issues with a column for Bush and Kerry with the answers being Yes or No. One of the Yes in Kerry's column is
"Force Acceptance of Same-Sex Marriage".
Kerry has stated numerous times that he believes that marriage is for a man and a woman, although he
is in favor of legal civil unions.
There are other misleading claims in Kerry's column and the right-hand side of the mailer is a crunch of some of the oft repeated anti-Kerry rhetoric. It concludes that
only George Bush supports my state's values.
This is about as gutterslime as the RNC mailer saying Kerry would ban the Bible.

Incredibly if the polls are anywhere near accurate they show that half of the country apparently swallows the bullshit hook line and sinker, pffft!
