A lot of times yeh, it really depends though. California is a lot more strict about alcohol than other states. I grew up in Iowa and went to bars with my dad several times, had a few drinks every now and then too, was 15-16 at the time.
I'm headed back to Iowa this weekend for my dads wedding. Not looking forward to the cold at all.
