I admire someone who will change his mind when the circumstances around him change. A person in power needs to be able to change with the people.
It's the people that need to be heard. If Kerry (who would believe a certain way) would change the way he votes because his people want him to, then that is a good man. WTG, senator from MA!
The biggest thing the Bush administration has been throwing around was when Kerry said, "I voted FOR funding the troops before I voted AGAINST it."
What I don't understand is why Kerry isn't telling us WHY he did one and then the other. If he did, then this would all go away. The first time they tried to put the bill through, the funding probably was going to be cut from a government program, and the second time they pushed it through, the funding was probably going to come from the people.
I am just speculating.
But if you keep up with how the Legislative branch rams bills through, then you'd understand there are many revisions sometimes and while one revision might appeal to a certain group, another version would appeal to the opposite group.
Use your heads. Realize that this asshole could have taken your children and made them go fight this war. Realize he could have sentenced your child to death by sending them off to war just like he sentenced over 150 people to death in Texas. Realize he transferred to the reserves when his ability to fight in a war mattered. Realize that Kerry went to war, and came back to talk about it. And now he's here to take this country to an even greater victory, to defeat real terrorism.
Let's help Kerry retire Bush.
