The trouble with "apathy" is people think it's the same thing as feeling sorry for yourself -- as in "I don't have what I want, and I don't give a shit about ANYthing."
But if you allow for a version of apathy that comes not from Sour Grapes but from Sweet Lemons, I'm happy to replace my 3 words for the one.
