Belarus is a close relative of a wal-rus. The walrus was nearly named walarus, but someone decided it was much too "Aussi-like" so they shortened the name to walrus. The belarus is shorter and fatter than it's more northern counterpart, and it's tusks come out of it's ass as opposed to it's face. The fur of the baby belarus is highly prized for it's softness, and is often used to make rich lady's undergarments.
btw, There is an eastern bloc company that is considering starting up a large American-like chain store in Russia, and they want to call it Walrus-mart.
