This year I sat down and watched and learned how the game is played and I find it fascinating. Like chess on ice. Also, that brooming action is rather exhausting and requires you not only to have mental precission but to be fit.

A fact they taught us while our women were winning the gold - Canada has 75% of all the world's curlers.

Also, if you are wondering it was invented in Scotland as something to play on the lakes when they were frozen. You should check out the highland games..I am sure they are on ESPN12 or something. Curling is the most sober sport the Scots have invented.
