I've dealt with paste something like what he has but instead it was a paint. So I'm not so sure if he was the inventor of that. But this paint you could paint a news paper let it dry and take a blow torch and try to burn the paper and it wouldn't burn.

You could also soak clothes in it let them dry and they were completely fire proof. In the demonstration I saw they use normal cotton gloves that were treated with this stuff. They then put the gloves on and put a burning road flare in the guys hand. It never even phased him.. The only draw back was it was diluted by water. So if what ever you treated got wet, it was no longer fire proof.
