this is very simple, we can not beat them in a game of hate and persistence, they have much longer history in this than we do...
they have
mother's who willingly voluteer their children to give their lives in the cause...how many mothers of our US military feel this way? mine didn't for the 12 years I was in and I don't know many that did...they barely supported the 'risk' involved let alone true suicide missions which that other culture has no qualms about carrying out...

no matter how many times you say to yourself that we are the mightiest military/economic force on the planet and we can 'kick those dune coons' asses, it won't make us safer and it's not even close to realistic
we're not dealing with a 'state' entity here
sometimes the person with the most flexibility has the most power, and sometimes Sun Tzu was right in mentioning that not all retreats are what they seem...
we need to get out of the obvious, lame front door approach to war with states, and pull those resources into the diplomatic core & the CIA/special ops....
we'll win this peace doing it Bush style, as fast as it took to gain peace in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.............
oh yeh, that hasn't worked yet....
