A Shotgun is never good for voice if shockmounted to your camera.
Shotguns arfe usually an exra channel for decent ambient. You also have to be careful with the type of shotgun as its sensitivity can kick your ass during the shoot.
Why? You'd be surprised how loud servo zooms can be!
BOOM Mic...Hidden Mics....away from the camera imho.
