Terrorists existed and hated the US way before W was voted into office.

They've tried (and succeeded) numerous times in bringing terror into the US and to US interests.

I'm not for or against bush but it seems as if a lot of people are jumping on the anti bush bandwagon just because everyone else is doing it.

There was a reason for going to war with Afghanistan just like there was a reason to go war with Iraq.

Leverage in the middle east? Maybe (for the reason below).
Oil? Probably.

The point is, if the US is going to remain the richest superpower on earth these things need to be done. If people have to die, then they'll die. It's a numbers game, sacrifices (home and abroad) need to be made and of course there's a hidden agenda. No matter who our president is/was this would have happened. You think W makes all of these decisions? Do you think it's a coincedence that an idiot was placed into office for the 4 years that all of these "bad decisions" were made?

These things need to be done... we'll set our own oil prices until there is no more oil to set prices for, and isn't terror a great excuse to get our foot in the door?

It's all business, the US is planning ahead just like any smart business man would do.

Might not be right, but I'm betting that's the reality of it.
