My conservative friend and I got into a discussion about Iraq.

He justified the war, IN PART, with the following statement:

"We are fighting terrorists. Maybe not Iraq's.. but we sure as hell brought the fight to them in their region. In Iraq, they are not closing the borders on purpose. They want to keep the flow of Anti-U.S. Muslims and Arabs flowing over the border to a country where U.S. forces can shoot back."

Basically, he contends that by fighting them in Iraq, they focus less on taking the fight to America.
