Personally, I'd tell you to take it easy on the tripper. However, you usually won't be able to fuck with someone who is tripping by being overtly strange.
If you really want to get into the head of someone who is tripping just stare at them and nod. If you really want to mess with them keep asking them about work and family while they are peaking.
