The relative figure is more important. Also important is the source of those 404's - meaning, did you fuck up and move a page / directory / site without having a mechanism to forward traffic to the correct destination? If so, then this is still "good" traffic who hit the 404 through no fault of their own. Treat 'em nice - and don't be so sloppy with your site management.

Or, is the 404 traffic coming from "monkey boys" trying to "guess" their way around your site / galleries? This is NOT "good" traffic, but often freeloaders who wouldn't pay for porn if you put a gun to their head. Fuck 'em. Wash those fellas out for fresh traffic and a few pennies a click.
