You might not want my opinion because I never fucked my models or do a bunch of other shit other photogs do. But here it is, from experience:

the best models arrive at the initial interview with a bf in tow. "to keep her safe." That's always a good sign, the model is a pro. Exception: if the bf calls you instead of the model, the model is his codependant and he's a drug user looking for money to support his habit. Stay away from that shit.

discuss pay, availability, the content, and any limits she might have.

If model asks questions like "do you ever worry about being busted, do you own any guns, do you do drugs?" and she does not ask about the pay, she's a cop. I got that once. Local cops. I indicated that I knew internet and obscenity law at least as well as they did, would NEVER plea bargain, and was well covered by the first amendment (based on all photo content being based on erotica I had written and published years earlier). They got bored and went away.
