Everyone knows you did not come here for attention, and we all know how hard it is to lose a dog. The negative reactions are from those of us who feel angry that you made a bad decision. There are pet rescue registries out there that go out of there way to find a good home for the dog. Hell theres even pitbull adoption and foster care sites all over the country. If that doesnt work then maybe as a last resort send it to a shelter. I know shelters are far from a sure thing now days but it would have been better then nothing.

I appreciate your comment and understand it, ok this wans't the smartest board to come for sympathy, but I have many friends/biz partners who post here.
About the shelters I agree and considered adoption and met with two families to which I had to come clean and tell them about her problems. I had a dog behavorist tell me she was a very strong top Alpha dog and that being thrown from one house to another could be very bad for her. She would feel abandonned. She was spoiled since day one and I was given the advice of two of the top vets here in Montreal to realease her and let her go. This was probably the most difficult decision I've ever had to make. I would never forgive myself if she spent months is a shelter feeling abandonned and then put down alone instead of with me holding her and saying good bye! So I stand by my decision it was the right one.
