That's great, but I'd almost be willing to bet you didn't put her on it to better YOURSELF, but you were more concerned about her and she was actually sick, right? The majority don't do this..... if she is doing better and you put her on it for the right reasons, then you are one of the few and one of the ones I have respect for. ;)
Take my son for example, he is quiet in school, he makes very good grades, he is, for the most part, respectful. BUT once he doesn't like you, he will shut you out like a bad habit.... and he shuts down. THIS doesn't make him have ADHD to me, this makes those teachers assholes.... and instead of fixing themselves and finding out what is wrong in their own world's, their first response is to put them on drugs. In MY case, the majority of the kids in the class my son was in last year were doing horrible, they were horrified of her. I got my son out of that class and into a different one and he excelled from there...... he went from the bottom 5, 3 weeks behind in the other class to top 5, 2 weeks ahead of his new class........ so THIS is what they wanted to put on ADs? And the sad part is that when MOST parents have to go thru this, they will just do as the teachers say and put them thru this and not even attempt to get to the bottom of it. Oh, yeah, some will, but most won't. They somehow think the teachers must always be right, NOT fair or healthy for the kids.
