Well what I did and still do is focus on having businesses that are autopilot types. Where once you do the setup they are easy to manage and run and don't require a lot of your time to maintain.

I avoid businesses that have that corporate demand, although recently I've started doing those again since I've really mastered managing my time now and have lots of great partners doing the grunt work.

But yes, if your businesses require your time and you kick back too much the income will go down. Even with partners you still have to keep a handle on things.
