Jenni of Jennicam.org for instance, that's a girl who knows the business... not a poseur. There simply aren't as many models who know this business like they'd want you to believe.
But for every Jenni there's 3000 fakes that want you to believe their the person calling the shots.
And for all of those who are thinking I'm speaking lowly of women. Not at all. I know many, many wonderful and extremely intelligent women that I love very dearly. Models fall a bit short in the brain capacity in this business, and you still cannot convince me that a good number of them on this very message board - GFY LaLa Land - are the ones that are in control of their sites, and affiliate programs. If you think otherwise, you are truely kidding yourselves.

Okay - I do see where you are coming from on that, and I appreciate you giving a nod to the other. I had to speak up about it, because that's the area we worked with for many years specifically (amateur), and we know a lot of good people as a result of it.
Things have definately gone more 'corporate' for sure. I think a big part of that is that it's simply harder for a single individual (female or not) to startup a site of their own. And yes, I'm sure there are plenty of false identities.
When you add GFY as a specificity - I'd say yes, that the percentage goes up. After all - we have plenty of people who say they are webmasters on this board, and there are lots of times that's obviously a false identity.
No offense intended to the real webmasters.

Edit - and webmistresses, of course.
