Make sure there's a nice buffet and you've got a decent DJ, plus let them know that there's going to be a good percentage of women.
Try not to schedule your event when there might be conflicts, such as birthdays or religious holidays.
And most of all, send a cordial invitation with an RSVP, and perhaps a small gift, so you know for sure they're going to make it!
