The bottom line is that without the enthusiastic concern and support of its members, the WSRI would have an almost impossible task in carrying out reseach as well as fighting for the rights of sharks.
Despite this, the WSRI conducts the largest shark education and conservation program in the world. To date the WSRI has given lectures to hundreds of thousands of people. The positive results from this program thus far have been nothing short of astonishing. The WSRI and its supporters have almost changed the attitude of an entire nation, and now it is planned to extend the program internationally.
